Salonability Feedback from a New User

Proprietor of Cork’s Ikon Hair Design since 1998, educator, stylist and Joico Guest Artist Valerie Finnegan Cahill has been using been a Pivot Point’s Salonability programme for just a month. When asked what makes Pivot Point’s programme enjoyable to use, Valerie is full of praise for what she refers to as her ‘new training tool box’.

“It’s a great way of learning with having both online and hard copy aspects and a great combination of practical mixed with the theory makes this a greatway to learn,” says Valerie. “Learners have ‘boxes to tick’, giving them a clear understanding of where they are going; it’s like having a teacher on the go because the online facility means they can access the information anywhere, anytime." Ikon Hair Design’s many success accolades give Valerie every credential to make valuable appraisal of the Salonability Programme. Her business has won the Fantastic Hairdresser Salon of the Year, National Training Salon of the Year and Valerie herself is a recipient of the Network Irish Business Woman of the Year Award; she clearly knows her stuff. Valerie Finnegan Cahil “From an educator’s point of view, the Salonability programme gives a very detailed step-by-step guide to mapping a student’s progress; it covers every aspect of their education. Everyone in the salon now speaks the same language, from front of house, to apprentice and stylist – everyone has a standard to work by. “I think the detailed step by step training is the best aspect of Salonability, it really does make the programme ‘standout from the crowd’. It has everything you could possibly need to train and educate comprehensively; its structure is second to none.”
